2011 War at the South Jersey Shore Registrations

April is here and our registrations are currently just over 1000 for the 2011 Edition of the SJWA War at the South Jersey Shore. Last year we had just shy of 1700 wrestlers compete for a National Folkstyle title, laying claim to one of the finest awards given at a wrestling tournament. From the youngest Bantams to some of the best High School wrestlers in the country, we expect another 1700+ group of the toughest wrestlers around to compete in the beautiful Wildwoods Convention Center on Easter Weekend.

Weigh-ins are Thursday night, April 21, 2011, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

As in the past, for your convenience, once again Age Group Competition Start Times are staggered:

Staggered Starts By Division:

Session #1: Friday morning, 8:00 AM - 12:00 NOON: BANTAMS, MIDGETS, JUNIORS
Session #2: Friday afternoon, 1:00 PM - TBD: INTERMEDIATES, HIGH SCHOOL
Session #3: Saturday morning, 8:00 AM - 12:00 NOON: BANTAMS, MIDGETS, JUNIORS; Trophies awarded as weight classes complete
Session #4: Saturday afternoon, 1:00 PM - Completion: INTERMEDIATES, HIGH SCHOOL; Trophies awarded as weight classes complete

Registrations cut off this year on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 11:59 PM, so be sure to get your registration soon!

The morning session of Day One of the 2009 War at the SJ Shore is coming to a close. The HS and Intermediate wresters are preparing for their 1:00 PM start. Pictures and videos from this weekend will be posted during and after the tournament along with results. Partial results will be posted as soon as possible at the end of each session.

We are running ahead of any previous registration pace as the tournament start date approaches. Make sure you get registered for the

2009 War at the South Jersey Shore Folkstyle Nationals

held on Easter Weekend (Good Friday and the Saturday before Easter) at the Wildwoods Convention Center right on the beach in beautiful Wildwood, NJ. Join us as the Atlantic Ocean literally laps the beach just outside the Convention Center for a couple of days of some of the best wrestling you will see all year, in season or out of season. We have averaged 1600 - 1800 wrestlers the past several years, from youth through high school age divisions.

Online Registration and Payment are now available online on the SJWrestling Web site. The first 100 wrestlers who register before Jan 1, 2009 pay our 2004 registration price ($40.00). After 100 registrations or December 31, 2008, whichever happens first, the registration payment goes up to $50.00.
